Little Black Dresses are my absolute favorite, but as I acquire more and more in my wardrobe, I find that interesting details are a necessity to make them unique. Whether it be embellishment or cut outs, a twist is necessary to make it worth it.
Halle Berry demonstrated the latter at the 2011 FiFi Awards in New York City. She chose a black one-shoulder cutout dress with a draped skirt from Halston’s Spring 2011 collection, worn on the runway by Aminata Niaria. She accessorized with oversized gold hoop earrings, a black clutch and black Anna Sandals by Christian Louboutin. I loved her look. It was such a daring choice for the red carpet, but naturally with a great body like Halle’s, anything is possible. She also won the Elizabeth Taylor Celebrity Fragrance of the Year Award, thus she was a winner in both the beauty and style departments.
Her exact runway dress is not available, but Halston is offering an almost identical style without the gold hardware. If you are brave enough to wear it and are in great shape, I say go for it. It will definitely have all eyes on you and Halston is such a timeless brand that you will have it forever.
